Workers compensation at Hunter Neurosurgery

If WorkCover is involved in your case, we require written approval from your case manager to book your appointment. Please arrange for your approval letter to be sent to Dr Spittaler at admin@hunterneurosurgery.com.au.

You will not be able to make an appointment without a pre-approval from your insurer.

Please do not contact us for approval follow up, follow up with your case manager.  

Should family or friends attend?

You are welcome to bring a family member or friend as a support person and to ask questions you may not have thought of. 

We ask that you limit your support to two people maximum (including a rehab/case manager, if you bring them).

You may find it helpful to have a pre-written list of questions to ask during your appointment.

What about fees?

With a pre-approval, your fees are covered by your insurer. 

Please note that even with an approval letter, if this is a CTP matter or Comcare is your insurer, you will need to pay upfront for the consultation and claim it back later from your insurer. You can read more on our Fees page.

Emergencies

From time-to-time, Dr Spittaler is required to emergencies. If this occurs on the day of your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible.
